So I was talking to my mans Lakim last night and he shot this song over to me. This may be the last song he posts up for a while because as you can see in the song title, he's going on hiatus until the new year. Not a hiatus from making beats, but from pretty much all forms of social networking in an effort to work on a few new projects and handle some very personal business that I won't disclose. All I can say is best of luck to him and come back even stronger homie!

I came across the progressive label "Raw Tapes Records" on one of my late night search sessions for new producers to promote. The vision of the label is to - ".. revolve around one thing – BEATS". With this statement in mind, let me introduce you to their most recently acquired artist – Radixx and the single from his debut EP coming soon. The single includes 3 tracks and a radical Tweet remix of "Oops (Oh My)" which you can download for free. There is also an atmospheric remix of the much loved (and Dilla produced) Slum Village classic 'Get Dis Money', which highlights his ability to breathe new life into a renowned track. Last week the homie Tek put me up on this young lady from Atlanta, GA by the name of DJ JW. She makes a variety of music from Hip-Hop to Trip-Hop to Experimental and you will get to hear all of these styles and then some within this beat tape. Lots of dope, chilled-out vibes on this so don't sleep.

Randomly ran into Kadaj a week ago on Soundcloud and was in for quite a pleasant surprise. This beat maker from the DC area had some straight up slappers on his page and his latest project "Kaydeekay" just dropped yesterday. You definitely get the DMV sound you expect in terms of punchy kicks and crisp,cracking snares. Definitely worth a listen, especially since it's FREE! "Love x3" is a personal favorite of mine.
