Lakim - "Givin' It Up (On hiatus til 2011)"

So I was talking to my mans Lakim last night and he shot this song over to me. This may be the last song he posts up for a while because as you can see in the song title, he's going on hiatus until the new year. Not a hiatus from making beats, but from pretty much all forms of social networking in an effort to work on a few new projects and handle some very personal business that I won't disclose. All I can say is best of luck to him and come back even stronger homie!

I came across the progressive label "Raw Tapes Records" on one of my late night search sessions for new producers to promote. The vision of the label is to - ".. revolve around one thing – BEATS". With this statement in mind, let me introduce you to their most recently acquired artist – Radixx and the single from his debut EP coming soon. The single includes 3 tracks and a radical Tweet remix of "Oops (Oh My)" which you can download for free. There is also an atmospheric remix of the much loved (and Dilla produced) Slum Village classic 'Get Dis Money', which highlights his ability to breathe new life into a renowned track. Stones Throw Podcast 63: Dimlite - Lit Paper Hats Forever

Dimlite, is by far one of the most elusive and creative villains in this here electronic beat realm. Known for his mystical sample-based creations and sporadic vocoder moments, he is an artist who always strives to engage the weird and obscure, so imagine my delight when I received word that he had graced us with a 50-minute electronic mix for the good people of Stones Throw as part of their Podcast Series.
